I. GENERAL INFORMATION
The purpose of this change notice is to add a new definition for Issuance Reason Code ‘O’ and to display a new benefit TYPE on the SLSE screen. When keying a DSS-8593 to enter Issuance Reason Code ‘O’ on the SLSE screen, the benefit replacement issuance displays as ‘REP’ in the TYPE field. This change was also needed to distinguish the difference between an issuance of replacement benefits from an issuance of supplemental benefits.
NOTE: There are no changes to the DSS-8593.
