CHANGE NOTICE FOR MANUAL
MANUAL: Food Stamp Certification Manual
CHANGE NO.: 6-2003 Date: March 10, 2003
TO: County Directors of Social Services
EFFECTIVE April 1, 2003, make the following changes to the Food Stamp Certification Manual.
I. BACKGROUND
The purpose of this change notice is to provide clarification and revisions to policy in the Food Stamp Certification Manual as reflected in updated interpretations from the United States Department of Agriculture and changes in federal regulations.
II. SPECIFIC CHANGES
A. Section 210.13, Residents of Public or Private Nonprofit Shelters for Homeless Persons
This change provides additional information regarding requirements for homeless individuals.
B. Section 210.14, Refusal to Cooperate With Quality Control Review
This change clarifies existing policy regarding refusal to cooperate with Quality Control Reviews.
III. IMPLEMENTATION INSTRUCTIONS
These changes update and clarify current Food Stamp policy. There is no new policy implemented with this change notice.
