CHANGE NOTICE FOR MANUAL

MANUAL: Food and Nutrition Services Certification Manual
TO: County Directors of Social Services
I. BACKGROUND
The purpose of this change notice is to update Figure 241-2 under Employment and Training (E&T) Work Program and to make changes to the FNS SNAP allotment amount in the Food and Nutrition Services Certification Manual.
Section 241.00
E&T, Workfare, and non-E&T counties have been updated in Figure 241-2.
Section 600.02
Policy in section 600.02 C.1 has been updated to reflect that the SNAP allotment amount is $124 if the rent, mortgage, and/or lot rent expense is $150 per month or higher.
III. IMPLEMENTATION INSTRUCTIONS
The updated list of E&T counties is effective July 1, 2011.
The SNAP changes are effective with benefits issued for August 2011. A mass change will be performed on the night of July 29, 2011, the last working day of July 2011; after all other daily updates have been completed to update SNAP cases with an allotment of $92 to $124.
IV. INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAINTENANCE OF THE FOOD and NUTRITION SERVICES MANUAL
To maintain your current hard copy of the Food and Nutrition Services User’s Manual:
1. Go to the DSS On-Line Manuals Change Notice website at
2. Click on Change No. 4-2011.
3. Click on the attachment links at the bottom of the page to print the changed sections and attached documents.
4. Open the files using Adobe Acrobat Reader and print the pages. Insert or replace the appropriate pages in your current hard copy as indicated below.
