CHANGE NOTICE FOR MANUAL

TO:	County Directors of Social Services

EFFECTIVE March 1, 2005, make the following changes to the EPICS Manual.

I. GENERAL

This change notice transmits revisions to the EPICS User's Manual to simplify research of Treasury Offset Program (TOP) collections. These changes are outlined below.

A. Section 104, VI. A Payment History by Individual Screen Field Descriptions is revised to add an additional definition for the field, Check NO. In addition to the check number appearing in this field when the payment was made by check, the TOP cycle number, in century-year-week format, is displayed here when the payment was made by TOP intercept. For example, a TOP intercept for the 8^th week of calendar year 2005 would appear as ‘200508’.

B. Section 2500 F. Food Stamp Reports is revised to:

• Clarify the description of the FRD221-3, 60-Day Notice Report.
• Include a description of the report, FRD 222-2 Claims Certified for TOP Offset. Subsequent reports in this section have been renumbered due to revisions.
