CHANGE NOTICE FOR MANUAL
DATE: September 1, 2004
MANUAL: Enterprise Program Integrity Control System (EPICS) User’s Manual
TO: County Directors of Social Services
EFFECTIVE: September 13, 2004
I. GENERAL
This change notice transmits revisions to the EPICS User’s Manual due to Race, Ethnicity, and Language mandates. These changes are outlined below.
A. Section 102 is revised by removing the Race field from the Referral Field Descriptions, Referral Detail 1 screen, Notepad Summary, and Notepad Detail. Instructions have been added for Name Search/Name List.
B. Section 103 is revised by removing the Race field for the casehead payee from the Claim Detail screen and Debtor Detail screens, Repayment Approach screen, EPICS History By Casehead, and EPICS History By Debtor. Ethnicity and Language fields have been added to the Debtor Detail screen. Instructions have been added for Name Search/Name List. Field Descriptions within this section have been revised to reflect the changes.
C. Section 104 is revised by removing the Race field from the Payments screen, Payment History By Referral, Payment History by Individual, and NC Debt Setoff Pending Intercepts screen. Field Descriptions within this section have been revised to reflect the changes.
D. Section 106 is revised to include Option 4, Name Search/Name List, to the Maintenance Menu. This is a direct entry into the Name Search process. The Name Search process is still available through any EPICS screen that contains a plus (+) sign by the individual ID number field.
E. Section 2100 is revised to include the new Race Codes, Ethnicity Codes, and Language Codes.
