Child Welfare Change Notice 1-2005
Manual: Family Services, Volume 1, Children’s Services, Chapter IV, Child Placement, Section 1201
To: County Directors of Social Services
Effective: Immediately Upon Receipt
The Division is pleased to present the Child Placement Manual, Volume I, Chapter IV that includes changes in statutes, policy and standards that have been previously addressed in Administrative and Dear County Director letters since October 1998. We will strive to keep all child welfare manuals current so that your staff do not have to reference the manual and letters for the most current interpretations. We are beginning this effort with the Child Placement manual. Attached to this letter is Section 1201: Child Placement. There have been no content changes to the manual material.
Note: Do not remove the Adolescent Services sections of the old manual as there are changes being made that will come at a later date.
Please ensure that all staff members who have child welfare responsibility are provided copies of this material or can access it via the DSS web site. The on-line manual web address is:
