Effective: July 1, 2001
In an effort to streamline the processing of the FL-2 and MR-2, the procedures for submitting the forms are revised effective July 1, 2001. Presently, providers submit the completed FL-2/MR-2 to the county DSS. Providers will be notified of the change in the July 2001 Medicaid Bulletin.
Providers will now submit the completed FL-2 or MR-2 directly to EDS instead of to the county. EDS will return the approved FL-2 or MR-2 to the county DSS for processing. The DSS will then forward a copy of the approved form to the facility. If a provider sends the completed FL-2/MR-2 to the county, the county should forward the form to EDS and notify the provider of the new procedure. MA-3290 is revised to reflect the change.
The reference in MA-3290 to MIC individuals having to be born after 10-1-1983 is removed. Children under age 19 meet the age requirement for MIC.
