CHANGE NOTICE FOR MANUAL

MANUAL: EIS
TO: COUNTY DIRECTORS OF SOCIAL SERVICES
This change notice transmits revisions to the EIS Manual. Revisions are effective August 1, 2000.
I. EIS 3600
This section has been updated to indicate changes to Work First from monthly to quarterly reporting. The reporting screen has also been updated to indicate the new title. Also, the Work First Monthly Reporting Notice Register has been removed since it is no longer in use.
II. EIS 4300
A. In order to approve a NC Health Choice Case, the address MUST be a North Carolina address. If the address is not a NC address, the message “C96 NCHC cases must have a NC address” displays when you try to approve the case on an 8125.
B. The new “S” classification has been added to Part Seven (NCHC Reports section) and the screen prints for statewide totals have been removed.
III. OTHER CHANGES
A. Changes to the EIS Inquiry Menu have been made to include the new inquiry code of “BI”. This code is used to display the Budget Screens that have been saved for Work First cases using the Case ID.
B. A new report has been added to XPTR. The new report is: “DHREJ HMO IND ON CASE&INV PRVD#”.
C. New codes have been added to EIS 1105 and EIS 1107. EIS 1103 has been updated to indicate the correct address for the IEVS Coordinator. An ESC message has been removed from EIS 1106.
D. Change code “52” has been added as a system generated code to be used in transferring Work First cases to MAF for failure to return a quarterly report.
