Make the following change(s)

I. BACKGROUND

CAP for Disabled Adults, Consumer Directed Care (CAP/Choice) is a pilot program limited to Cabarrus, Duplin, Forsyth, and Surry Counties. Beginning January 1, 2011 CAP/Choice will expand to a statewide program. In January 2001 EIS will remove the edits that required special transfer procedures for CAP/Choice cases. CAP/Choice trainings will be conducted in January and February 2011 across the State.

II. Content of change

A. MA-2280, Community Alternatives Program (CAP)

CAP/Choice is expanding from a four county pilot program to a statewide program.

1. MA-2280 I.B.3.c. - Special transfer requirements for CAP/Choice cases are deleted.

2. MA-2280 VI.B.3.a - References to the limited pilot program and counties are deleted.

III. Effective Date and implementation

Apply this policy to any CAP/Choice applications, redeterminations, or transfers taken on or after January 1, 2011.

IV. Maintenance of Manual

A. Remove: MA-2280, Community Alternatives Program (CAP), pages 3, 4 and 25, 26.

Insert: MA-2280, Community Alternatives Program (CAP), pages 3, 4 and 25- 26 dated 1/1/11.
