The purpose of this change notice is to clarify that an adequate notice may only be used when an applicant/recipient requests termination of Medicaid in writing.
MA-2420, Notice and Hearings Process, has been revised to inform workers that only a recipient’s written request can be accepted before adequately terminating or reducing any Medicaid aid/program category.
This change in policy is effective October 1, 2003. Apply to all requests for termination taken on or after October 1, 2003.
Remove: MA-2420, Notice and Hearings Process, Pages 5 & 6.
Insert: MA-2420, Notice and Hearings Process, Pages 5 & 6, effective 10/01/03.
